4 years ago I started Rosemont Lane with a dream!
I wanted to become an artist, and work flexible hours so eventually I could be a working mom. I knew nothing about starting a business, had no training in anything related to art, BUT was very creative.
2 years later... on a whim I decided to try painting a MURAL. I walked into a local business and with confidence pitched myself to the owner. Bam, just like that I had my first job. I didn't know what I was doing but I knew I loved it.
Spreading joy though art, working on my own time, connecting with people, and getting to be a visual storyteller. I was hooked.
However, as a self taught artist and business woman I did a lot of struggling in that first year... I made mistakes, failed a few times and even did a project for free (yuck!) I wish that I had someone to guide me step by step on both the business front and to give me all the tips and tricks of being on the job! There were resources, and pdfs but I am a visual learner, and I love learning from REAL people and not just reading guides.
So I decided why not create the course that I needed - for YOU.

We dive straight in and start laying the foundation of your business. I go over everything you need to start your business, and share my experience of how I got my first job, where you can find clients and guide you through the process up until the inquiry call. There is A LOT in this week to digest, so throw on your learning cap and let's dive in!
WEEK 2
INQUIRY CALL > GETTING READY TO PAINT
Let's turn that lead into a paying client! I am taking you into the details of proposals, invoices and contracts oh my! Don't worry this business stuff might sound boring but we will make things fun and continue with journal prompts and worksheets to make this completely personal to YOU and what type of muralist YOU want to be! Next stop: the job site!
WEEK 3
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ON THE JOB
Congrats, you booked the client, and now it’s time to do what you came here for PAINT! But don't rush to the job, you might forget some very important things. I created checklists galore, and walk you through tips, tricks and even some of my favorite and least favorite jobs I have ever done! This is another jam packed week, so buckle up babe!
WEEK 4
BONUS CLASSES: TIPS, TRICKS, AIRBNB 101 + MORE
But wait there’s more. This week is a bunch of bonus lessons for important topics that didn't exactly fit into week 1-3. We are going over some very specific topics like Airbnb 101 (aka my biggest clients) how to hack your calendar and MONEY MINDSET! I don't want it to end, but I am so excited to see where you GROW FROM HERE. Stop to smell the roses, and congrats on completing the course. Don't forget to tag me in your work, and stay in touch. Not at all! This is a self-guided course, so go at your own pace. However Lauren recommends that you do watch all the videos in order so you can complete the course from start to finish!

Never painted a mural before? No problem, I hadn't either when I started pitching my services as a muralist. However this course is also great for beginner muralists who could use some fine tuning in the back house of their business. Or any artist who is looking for inspiration to fast track to the next level of success!

Great news! If you are joining this course before the end of October Lauren is offering free weekly zoom classes that are optional to join, and will be recorded to listen back to if you can't make it. This will be the best place to ask specific questions you have from the course, as well as connect with the other members and muralists! Lauren is also available for a 30 minute 1:1 call as long as you schedule it before the end of October.

but don't worry that mini course will be coming next! We do however talk about materials, paint, wall surfaces, my painting rules ect...
